DataprocMetastore

class google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.services.dataproc_metastore.DataprocMetastoreAsyncClient(*, credentials: typing.Optional[google.auth.credentials.Credentials] = None, transport: typing.Optional[typing.Union[str, google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.services.dataproc_metastore.transports.base.DataprocMetastoreTransport, typing.Callable[[...], google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.services.dataproc_metastore.transports.base.DataprocMetastoreTransport]]] = 'grpc_asyncio', client_options: typing.Optional[google.api_core.client_options.ClientOptions] = None, client_info: google.api_core.gapic_v1.client_info.ClientInfo = <google.api_core.gapic_v1.client_info.ClientInfo object>)[source]

Configures and manages metastore services. Metastore services are fully managed, highly available, autoscaled, autohealing, OSS-native deployments of technical metadata management software. Each metastore service exposes a network endpoint through which metadata queries are served. Metadata queries can originate from a variety of sources, including Apache Hive, Apache Presto, and Apache Spark.

The Dataproc Metastore API defines the following resource model:

  • The service works with a collection of Google Cloud projects, named: /projects/*

  • Each project has a collection of available locations, named: /locations/* (a location must refer to a Google Cloud region)

  • Each location has a collection of services, named: /services/*

  • Dataproc Metastore services are resources with names of the form:

    /projects/{project_number}/locations/{location_id}/services/{service_id}.

Instantiates the dataproc metastore async client.

Parameters
  • credentials (Optional[google.auth.credentials.Credentials]) – The authorization credentials to attach to requests. These credentials identify the application to the service; if none are specified, the client will attempt to ascertain the credentials from the environment.

  • transport (Optional[Union[str,DataprocMetastoreTransport,Callable[..., DataprocMetastoreTransport]]]) – The transport to use, or a Callable that constructs and returns a new transport to use. If a Callable is given, it will be called with the same set of initialization arguments as used in the DataprocMetastoreTransport constructor. If set to None, a transport is chosen automatically.

  • client_options (Optional[Union[google.api_core.client_options.ClientOptions, dict]]) –

    Custom options for the client.

    1. The api_endpoint property can be used to override the default endpoint provided by the client when transport is not explicitly provided. Only if this property is not set and transport was not explicitly provided, the endpoint is determined by the GOOGLE_API_USE_MTLS_ENDPOINT environment variable, which have one of the following values: “always” (always use the default mTLS endpoint), “never” (always use the default regular endpoint) and “auto” (auto-switch to the default mTLS endpoint if client certificate is present; this is the default value).

    2. If the GOOGLE_API_USE_CLIENT_CERTIFICATE environment variable is “true”, then the client_cert_source property can be used to provide a client certificate for mTLS transport. If not provided, the default SSL client certificate will be used if present. If GOOGLE_API_USE_CLIENT_CERTIFICATE is “false” or not set, no client certificate will be used.

    3. The universe_domain property can be used to override the default “googleapis.com” universe. Note that api_endpoint property still takes precedence; and universe_domain is currently not supported for mTLS.

  • client_info (google.api_core.gapic_v1.client_info.ClientInfo) – The client info used to send a user-agent string along with API requests. If None, then default info will be used. Generally, you only need to set this if you’re developing your own client library.

Raises

google.auth.exceptions.MutualTlsChannelError – If mutual TLS transport creation failed for any reason.

async alter_metadata_resource_location(request: Optional[Union[google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.metastore.AlterMetadataResourceLocationRequest, dict]] = None, *, retry: Optional[Union[google.api_core.retry.retry_unary_async.AsyncRetry, google.api_core.gapic_v1.method._MethodDefault]] = _MethodDefault._DEFAULT_VALUE, timeout: Union[float, object] = _MethodDefault._DEFAULT_VALUE, metadata: Sequence[Tuple[str, str]] = ()) google.api_core.operation_async.AsyncOperation[source]

Alter metadata resource location. The metadata resource can be a database, table, or partition. This functionality only updates the parent directory for the respective metadata resource and does not transfer any existing data to the new location.

  "bindings": [
    {
      "role": "roles/resourcemanager.organizationAdmin",
      "members": [
        "user:mike@example.com",

  "bindings": [
    {
      "role": "roles/resourcemanager.organizationAdmin",
      "members": [
        "user:mike@example.com",

class google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.services.dataproc_metastore.DataprocMetastoreClient(*, credentials: typing.Optional[google.auth.credentials.Credentials] = None, transport: typing.Optional[typing.Union[str, google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.services.dataproc_metastore.transports.base.DataprocMetastoreTransport, typing.Callable[[...], google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.services.dataproc_metastore.transports.base.DataprocMetastoreTransport]]] = None, client_options: typing.Optional[typing.Union[google.api_core.client_options.ClientOptions, dict]] = None, client_info: google.api_core.gapic_v1.client_info.ClientInfo = <google.api_core.gapic_v1.client_info.ClientInfo object>)[source]

Instantiates the dataproc metastore client.

Parameters
  • credentials (Optional[google.auth.credentials.Credentials]) – The authorization credentials to attach to requests. These credentials identify the application to the service; if none are specified, the client will attempt to ascertain the credentials from the environment.

  • transport (Optional[Union[str,DataprocMetastoreTransport,Callable[..., DataprocMetastoreTransport]]]) – The transport to use, or a Callable that constructs and returns a new transport.

Note that the api_endpoint property still takes precedence; and universe_domain is currently not supported for mTLS.

__exit__(type, value, traceback)[source]

Releases underlying transport’s resources.

Warning

ONLY use as a context manager if the transport is NOT shared with other clients! Exiting the with block will CLOSE the transport and may cause errors in other clients!

alter_metadata_resource_location(request: Optional[Union[google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.metastore.AlterMetadataResourceLocationRequest, dict]] = None, *, retry: Optional[Union[google.api_core.retry.retry_unary.Retry, google.api_core.gapic_v1.method._MethodDefault]] = _MethodDefault._DEFAULT_VALUE, timeout: Union[float, object] = _MethodDefault._DEFAULT_VALUE, metadata: Sequence[Tuple[str, str]] = ()) google.api_core.operation.Operation[source]

Alter metadata resource location. The metadata resource can be a database, table, or partition. This functionality only updates the parent directory for the respective metadata resource and does not transfer any existing data to the new location.

Defines an Identity and Access Management (IAM) policy. It is used to specify access control policies for Cloud Platform resources. A Policy is a collection of bindings. A binding binds one or more members to a single role. Members can be user accounts, service accounts, Google groups, and domains (such as G Suite). A role is a named list of permissions (defined by IAM or configured by users). A binding can optionally specify a condition, which is a logic expression that further constrains the role binding based on attributes about the request and/or target resource.

JSON Example

{
  "bindings": [
    {
      "role": "roles/resourcemanager.organizationAdmin",
      "members": [
        "user:mike@example.com",

    # Make the request
    operation = client.update_service(request=request)

    print("Waiting for operation to complete...")

    response = operation.result()

    # Handle the response
    print(response)
Parameters
  • request (Union[google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.UpdateServiceRequest, dict]) – The request object. Request message for [DataprocMetastore.UpdateService][google.cloud.metastore.v1alpha.DataprocMetastore.UpdateService].

  • service (google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.Service) –

    Required. The metastore service to update. The server only merges fields in the service if they are specified in update_mask.

    The metastore service’s name field is used to identify the metastore service to be updated.

    This corresponds to the service field on the request instance; if request is provided, this should not be set.

  • update_mask (google.protobuf.field_mask_pb2.FieldMask) –

    Required. A field mask used to specify the fields to be overwritten in the metastore service resource by the update. Fields specified in the update_mask are relative to the resource (not to the full request). A field is overwritten if it is in the mask.

    This corresponds to the update_mask field on the request instance; if request is provided, this should not be set.

  • retry (google.api_core.retry.Retry) – Designation of what errors, if any, should be retried.

  • timeout (float) – The timeout for this request.

  • metadata (Sequence[Tuple[str, str]]) – Strings which should be sent along with the request as metadata.

Returns

An object representing a long-running operation.

The result type for the operation will be google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.Service A managed metastore service that serves metadata queries.

Return type

google.api_core.operation.Operation

class google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.services.dataproc_metastore.pagers.ListBackupsAsyncPager(method: Callable[[...], Awaitable[google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.metastore.ListBackupsResponse]], request: google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.metastore.ListBackupsRequest, response: google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.metastore.ListBackupsResponse, *, retry: Optional[Union[google.api_core.retry.retry_unary_async.AsyncRetry, google.api_core.gapic_v1.method._MethodDefault]] = _MethodDefault._DEFAULT_VALUE, timeout: Union[float, object] = _MethodDefault._DEFAULT_VALUE, metadata: Sequence[Tuple[str, str]] = ())[source]

A pager for iterating through list_backups requests.

This class thinly wraps an initial google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.ListBackupsResponse object, and provides an __aiter__ method to iterate through its backups field.

If there are more pages, the __aiter__ method will make additional ListBackups requests and continue to iterate through the backups field on the corresponding responses.

All the usual google.cloud.metastore_v1alpha.types.ListBackupsResponse attributes are available on the pager. If multiple requests are made, only the most recent response is retained, and thus used for attribute lookup.

Instantiates the pager.
